VÉRITÉ | Echo
There's something to be said about an artist who can rack up over 300,000 plays of a debut single in just over 2 months. There's even more to be said when it's followed up with such a ferocious second effort. Not one to rest on her laurels though, Vérité looks set to make it a hat-trick as the New York resident returns with her third instalment, Echo. Toning things down a little from her latest track here we see another side to the rising star as a shift in production styles sees choppy percussion mix with the track's tribal basslines and swoonful vocals. Speaking of the release she goes on to say "Echo is a moment that summarizes the sentiment of the EP. It was an idea Elliot and I passed back and forth for a while. One day, we took the initial song, which was more of a flat, traditional pop song arrangement and literally chopped it up and removed all the instrumentation. We built it up from that place which left the vocal raw and exposed for the sentiment to shine through."
Echo EP Tracklist: 1. Strange Enough 2. Weekend 3. Echo 4. Heartbeat
You can pick up the 'Echo' EP from October 20th.
