It's no secret I'm a big sucker for seductive synth-pop music. I've definitely covered my fair share of it here on the blog, especially in recent months as its popularity sweeps across the nation. Latest to wow on this infused RnB front are NYC duo Refs and their insanely huge single Pain Goes Away. It's quite hard to believe this is a debut with its perfectly mixed sound firing spine-tingling melodies out from my speakers. Achieving what most established acts can only dream of in their first 3 minute 29 second outing, Refs warm blend of futuristic key work and buoyant percussive hits are sure to see them quickly gain the recognition they so rightfully deserve. Throw in some unshakable vocals and you're on to a mighty fine winner. I expect to see this one topping the Hype Machine charts in no time. Check it out above.
