Green Man 2015 First Announcements | St Vincent, Hot Chip + More

I've been wondering for some time now whether it would be for the better if festivals all round went on a 3 year hiatus. It's definitely becoming harder than ever for curators to come up with new and original line-ups and I can't lie, they're starting to lose their magic for me. Arctic Monkeys headline Glastonbury. Arctic Monkeys headline Reading. Metallica headline Glastonbury. Metallica headline Reading. Mumford and Sons....You get the idea. You only have to take a look at the festival circuit last year and you'll be inundated with the same line-ups through and through. That is for a select few exceptions. One anomaly being the ever wonderful Green Man Festival. Deviating from the norm time and time again they pull out a fantastic array of artists and cultural acts every single year and 2015 looks set to be no different. Set to return to the picturesque Black Mountains between 20-23 August the festival returns in fine form with its first announcement - you can see the first wave of listed acts below.

St Vincent, Hot Chip, Goat, Calexico, Charles Bradley, Father John Misty, Mew, The Staves, Sun Ra Arkestra, Courtney Barnett, The Fall, Shovels & Rope, The Wave Pictures, Hookworms, Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve, Sylvan Esso, Waxahatchee, Son Lux, Matthew E White, Owen Pallett, Viet Cong, Steve Gunn, Richard Dawson, Alisdair Roberts, Songhoy Blues, Zun Zun Egui, Jane Weaver, Slug, BC Camplight, Ryley Walker, Trust Fund, Corey Bowen, Huw Stephens (DJ), Tom Ravenscroft (DJ), Nothing Is (DJ)
