Eliza and the Bear - Make It On My Own

Anyone who's frequented the pages here in recent months will know all too well I'm a pretty big Eliza and the Bear fan. It's with great news then to learn of the London quintet's return with the title track to their forthcoming new EP, Make It On My Own. Recorded during recent album sessions with producer Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Of Monsters and Men) the band's latest effort perfectly captures their radiant melodies and jubilant sounds set amongst a backdrop of scintillating trumpet sections and palpitating percussion. "'Make It On My Own' came relatively late in the writing process for the album" explains lead singer James Kellegher. "I think we finished the song in the same week we left for the studio. It's about making a change in something, be it your entire life, or even in the smallest thing, a tiny change can make a huge difference. But also about self-worth, knowing that you have value and that you can do anything". Take a listen for yourselves below.

Eliza and the Bear will be announcing their own headline tour in the coming weeks. In the lead up to the release of ‘Make It On My Own’ due out June 7th through Capitol Records, they will be supporting Twin Atlantic on the following tour dates:

5th May – Albert Hall – Manchester
7th May – Brixton 02 Academy
8th May – Birmingham 02 Academy
9th May – Glasgow - SSE Hydro
