Fickle Friends - Paris

It never does get easier, the agonising wait for new Fickle Friends. It's only been 2 months since their last effort Could Be Wrong but the days have dragged and the nights have been forever long. Fear not though, one of the most mouth-watering blog acts have returned bearing lustrous gifts in the form of their new track Paris. More dignified than we're used to hearing from the Brighton-based quintet, Paris most certainly stands as the pinnacle to their hard work and divine musicianship. Showcasing a unique juxtaposition with sensual voacalism and pulsating basslines set amongst a scintillating backdrop of skittering percussion and vibrant synth-work comes another pristine pop masterpiece, but then would we expect anything less from them? “Paris is our quiet storm." explains singer Natassja Shiner, continuing "It captures the subtleties we love in Bombay Bicycle Club's instrumental layers but with our own Janet Jackson-esque spin. It's the song you hear at 3AM when things are getting hazy”. Take a listen below.

Paris is taken from the band's forthcoming debut EP entitled 'Velvet', due for release 25th May 2015 through Killing Moon Records.

Velvet EP's full tracklisting: 1. Could Be Wrong 2. Velvet 3. Paris 4. Shake Her
