Yumi Zouma - Keep It Close To Me
Since first springing up on my radar back in 2014 with The Brae, Yumi Zouma have continued to push the boundaries of superlative pop, and whilst it's felt like a lifetime coming the band have finally announced details of their debut album. Keep It Close To Me, the first single to be taken from said debut record, 'Yoncalla', due out May 27 on Cascine, showcases another pristine effort for the four-piece as its elegant synth pads begin to swirl around Kim Pflaum's angelic vocals. "Yumi Zouma has always been an exercise in refining ideas and collaborating, but this was the first time we weren’t limited or protected by distance." explains guitarist Charlie Ryder. "With Yoncalla, the process was different, and it can be scary to present raw ideas to your friends ‐ but it’s also incredible to see songs evolve through the sparks of inspiration that bounce between people in the same room". Take a listen to Keep It Close To Me below.
