Colouring - Heathen
Returning with the first single to be taken from their forthcoming new EP, Colouring share the gorgeous Heathen, a track that truly sees the London-based outfit come in to their own as they look to follow up the release of their 'Symmetry' EP. Featuring subtle electronics and wide-spanning vocals comes another blisteringly powerful effort from the quartet as they introduce a rousing string section to their artillery. "I desperately wanted to work with string players" explains singer Jack Kenworthy, "it was such a cool experience. ‘Heathen’ was inspired by a lot of the Motown and jazz styles that I grew up on. I wanted it to have a groove that wouldn't feel out of place being heard after a slower hip-hop song, like Kendrick’s ‘Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe". Take a listen for yourselves below.
