Returning ahead of the weekend with her brand new single, GRACEY has unveiled the glamorous Back To Then. Despite its empowering melodies and tactful delivery, the track itself depicts the fall out from a relationship where friends turn to lovers only to become strangers again. With towering pop sensibilities and infectious choruses it's another mighty fine addition to the rising Brit School alumni's catalogue of ever growing hits. GRACEY had the following to say on the track's conception: “Back to Then is about the irreversible effects falling in and out of love can have on a pre-existing friendship. It was written after a night where I’d bumped into an ex at a bar after years of not speaking; I was reminded of how much we actually got on and realised I actually just missed them as a person, not even in a romantic way. The hard reality is that we will never truly be able to go back to the friendship we had before our relationship. This song reflects how strange it feels watching someone who once meant everything to you become a stranger. I think of ‘Back to Then’ as the more *level-headed* sister song to my single from a few years ago, ‘What a Waste’, and I’m so excited to release it as part of this new chapter in my life.” Take a listen for yourselves below.
