Some might recognise the name some might not. For those that don't S.Carey is the same Sean Carey who plays drums for Bon Iver. I don't want to get tied up on that though. All We Grow is the debut solo album by Carey.

His album is due for release 30th August here in the UK & slightly earlier stateside. You can pre-order now.

For me it took a few listens to fully sink in. Not that I didn't like it first time around but after another listen the amount of depth and warmth this record brings really hit me.
The balance between layering and space has been met perfectly. An ambient, melodically structured masterpiece. The creativeness is superb. An album you can truly get lost in. I have loved everything Sean has done with Bon Iver so to get a solo album is magical.
