Moddi | Floriography

mp3 || Moddi - Magpie Eggs

There is something so pure about Nordic music. With a country producing so many talented musicians there must be something in the water. Raised in Northern Norway Moddi draws inspiration from its environment. The vast and bleak landscapes echo across many of the songs from the debut album.

He strives in creating swells of emotion with his soft instrumentation. Each track builds and builds with heartfelt energy to reach its final cresendo.
“The music I make lives a life of its own… the songs grow a little with every winter that passes by. Just like children. My children.”
The album released in Norway in 2010 has been warmly recieved across his native country and April 19th finally saw the album make its way to UK shores with its international release. At only 23 Pål Moddi Knutsen has come a long way and I'm sure this is not the last we shall be hearing.
