Kodaline | All I Want (Everything Everything Remix)

Sometimes great music slips you by. Such as Kodaline's All I Want. I'd previously not heard the original before being sent the remix so thought a good place to start would be just there. The Dublin quartet are far from disappointing. All I Want is a delicate explosion of charm and charisma. Dainty guitars accompanied with tender, pain-stricken vocals all combine and build in to a powerful driving force. Nothing short of spell binding.

Everything Everything had a tough job to captivate this momentum and complement it in the best light. Yet that is exactly what they have achieved. The Manchester group have opened up the originals dynamic carving their way through the track with a revived energy in the form of building synths that rise and fall jittering away throughout. Add in the cut up/sampled vocals and layered synths and you have a rather dreamy combination.

All in all a fantastic song and beautiful remix that manages to compensate the original to its fullest.

And in case you missed the original tear-jerking video, like me, check it out below.
