Swn Festival | Second wave of acts announced
Returning for its ever glorious 7th year, Cardiff's Swn festival have just announced a monster update to this year's line-up. And what a delight to my eyes it is, proving just why I love them for all their eclectic greatness. Taking place from 17- 20th October 2013 the new list of additions can be seen below featuring a big emphasis on local Welsh talent, artists from afar and some friendly faces who've been welcomed back with open arms.

As the festival continues to expand, this year will also mark a change in new venues for the weekend. Following on from the success of last year’s open air public performances on The Hayes this year's event will see the added feature of an outdoor stage taking place through Saturday and Sunday all contributing to the festivals growth and overall experience. This news goes hand in hand with the previous announcement detailing the use of a number of new venues including the likes of Fuel, Angel Hotel, Sherman Cymru, Jacob’s Market and St John’s Church in Canton all joining the likes of festival favourites Clwb Ifor Bach, The Moon Club, Buffalo and Gwdihŵ.
With ticket prices being frozen at last year's prices you really have no excuse not to get involved. You can pick yours up from Monday 5th August 2013: A full 4-day advance wristband costs £65 and single day advance wristbands vary between £17 and £28, depending on the day. Tickets can be purchased from the following www.swnpresents.com, www.TicketLineUK.com, www.seetickets.com, and Spillers Records (Morgan Arcade, Cardiff).
Please be aware that the Everything Everything & Dutch Uncle shows will require a £2 top up ticket. A limited number of £2 Top-Up Tickets are available at www.swnpresents.com (available only to Thursday or 4-Day Sŵn Festival 2013 wristband holders). A Thursday or 4-Day Sŵn Festival wristband must be shown alongside an Everything Everything Top-Up e-ticket at Cardiff University Students’ Union Box Office to gain entry to the show.
