As the age old debate of the internets role in promotion continues I think sometimes it's best to just kick back and listen to a new band with a clean slate. No snazzy press release blurb. No mass media hype. Just the music for what it is. And that just so happens to be the case here. I don't know much about London based band Honours, if anything at all, but there's nothing quite like diving in head first. As you begin to swim around in their dark mysterious vibes it's clear to hear the healthy maturity in their playing abilities. Through a flurry of lengthy bass notes and aspirationally driving vocals comes a pulsating, forward thinking single, packed with luscious pop melodies and tones. Ready To Run is as strong of intro as any to a band looking to do great things. I can't wait to hear more!
