Inventions | Peaceable Child

Just in case anyone didn't know, trying to juggle life and run a music blog single handedly is pretty stressful to say the least. The moment you turn your back on the email inbox you've been doing battle with all evening you lose the fight. PR's sending two sometimes three follow ups. "Have you had a chance to listen to this yet". "I'm also working with these who I think you might like". The inundation of mailing lists that you definitely didn't sign up to. Don't get me wrong, it's lovely to get sent all this great music, but sometimes it all gets a bit too much. Thankfully the new Explosions In The Sky - Eluvium collaboration is on hand to ease the pain. Peaceable Child is the first track to surface from the Mark T. Smith and Matthew Cooper team-up as they come together to form Inventions. Sprawled in unfathomable beauty take a listen above as its vast and submerging soundcape swallows all your worries and woes, spitting out a life altering outlook. All I have to say is thank you for seven minutes and thirty seconds of pure serenity. Although I'm sure them emails can wait as I hit replay (after replay). You can Pre-Order the new record here, due for release April 1st 2014.
