Becky Hill | Caution To The Wind

Having already collabed with the likes of heavyweights Rudimental, Wilkinson and Oliver Heldens, Becky Hill returns with her debut original single, Caution To The Wind. Enlisting the help of Two Inch Punch on production duties it's the kind of track that sits in a similar vein to much of the new talent creeping its way up the charts this summer, yet with her dynamic vocal and songwriting dexterity Becky Hill does more than enough to stand out from the pack. Disciplined yet all the same time elevating Caution To The Wind is another fine showcase to the superlative skills Hill possess. Already hard at work on her debut LP this just goes to show how high the bar's been set.
“When I was working on the track all I could hear was the phrase ‘Caution to the wind’, which I really liked. I decided to write a song based around idioms. There are around thirteen on Caution like ‘Come hell or high water’ and ‘I’m going to go the extra mile’. They’re how I feel about myself and my music.”
“I want to be an artist that lasts”, she says. ‘I’m not here to be a ‘pop star’; I’m here to make great music. I’m not here to be in the public eye, I’m here to perform, and do what I love. Whether this is possible I don’t know, but I would love to be as big as I can possibly get, and retain my credibility and my dignity. Ultimately, I just want to be happy.”
