There's something undeniably wonderfully about recording on basic equipment. I don't care what anyone says it's just better and marks a refreshing change from the over-produced road many artists take. Being a case in point, American Wrestlers latest single Kelly is a fuzzy lo-fi masterpiece with its hazy vocals skittering over clanging guitars and a hazy percussive backdrop. The Scotland born now Missouri based artist picked up a Tascam 8-track recorder, the cheapest pawnshop instruments he could afford and got to work, the results being quite terrific. Take a listen above for yourselves. Kelly is taken from the self-titled debut full-length, set for release in the UK via Fat Possum on April 27th.
