Yung | Nobody Cares

When I normally cast my mind to the Nordic music scene, I'm instantly amongst twinkling synth notes and jangly indie-pop guitars. It's a nice change then to be introduced to the sounds of Yung, a Danish four-piece formulating a brash hysteria with their punk influences. Latest single Nobody Cares is as fine introductions as any to the foursome as its softly strummed intro is quickly lost to a wall of clashing percussion and anguishly strained vocals. Hazily dragging you through its meandering verses and tempo shifts the band's enthralling use of fuzzy guitars and unique melodies make for an energising youthful listen, definitely not for the faint hearted. Take a listen above - 'Nobody Cares' is taken from their new EP 'Alter', which will be available worldwide on 2 March through Tough Love Records.
