The Maccabees - Marks To Prove It

Never have I been more excited for a return of a band than that of The Maccabees. It's hard to believe it's been 3 years since 2012's Mercury Prize nominated album 'Given To The Wild', but it looks like they're finally ready to fill the silent void they left behind with news of their hotly anticipated fourth studio record. Taking things down the self-produced route, Marks To Prove It offers a brilliant return as they firmly stamp their arrival on us with a unique concoction of vibrant guitars, changing tempos and falling melody tones. "These new songs are a reminder of why we started the band," explains Hugo White. "With the enthusiasm to play music that’s exciting and makes us excited." "We’re thrilled to say that artwork for the singles from our new album will again feature the work of Andy Goldsworthy” further add the band. "This is the first in the ’Midsummer Snowballs’ series - we hope you like it as much as we do."

Marks To Prove It’ will be available May 11th released through Fiction. To coincide with the announcement of their new single, The Maccabees will play a string of intimate dates this May. Fans signed up to their mailing list here will be able to access a pre-sale 9am Wednesday 1st March.
