Tourist - Holding On (feat. Josef Salvat & Niia)
Perfectly primed ready for the weekend festivities ahead, Tourist returns with his dance-floor ready new single, Holding On. Still riding a wave of euphoria since picking up a Grammy win for his part in co-writing Sam Smiths 'Stay With Me', not to mention a recent collab with Years & Years on his Radio 1 b-listed single 'illuminate', William Phillips returns with what's possibly his best effort yet. If enlisting the vocal talents of Niia and Josef Salvat isn't enough to get you salivating for more, then its synth-laden backdrop of glistening melodies and tight production almost certainly will. Take a listen below as Salvat and Niia duet before their solitary existence comes together for its touching finale.
"'Holding On' is the record that defines the tone of the album, both sonically and conceptually." explains Phillips. "I hadn’t heard many duets for a while and I thought it would be an interesting way to convey something that might have been slightly one-dimensional had it only been through one person's perspective. It’s the record I’m most proud of"
Holding On will be released May 24th through Polydor Records.
