Politics aside, there's a hell of a lot going on in Scottish culture right now. With such a bubbling scene it's to no surprise then I've posted about a string of promising acts from the UK’s northernmost country over the last few years. Latest set to join them are
Bwani and their new track
Tokyo Talk. What's essentially a reworking of an old single the band's tropically infused rhythms and sprawling basslines make for an excitingly fresh listen.
"It’s about that point in the night when everyone and everything is going wild around you, but you’re completely oblivious to it because you’re talking to just one person, like they’re the only one who exists" explains lead singer Rory Fairweather. With a debut album set to come Tokyo Talk offers an insatiable first glimpse in to what lays ahead for the Edinburgh-based quartet. Indulge for yourselves below.
