City Calm Down - Rabbit Run

When a band wastes no time throwing you head first in to a hedonistic whirlwind of feel good-good emotion, you know they're on to something good. With a hybrid sound formulated through the likeness of The National and Russia's Motorama, City Calm Down shine a refreshing light on to their brooding self-reflecting optimism. The first track lifted from their much awaited debut album is a real force to be reckoned with as its thundering basslines power through Jack Bourke’s awakening vocal croon. Filled with a yearning desire to accept, Rabbit Run offers a wonderfully uplifting introduction to the band for new listeners like myself, with my appetite most certainly whet, it looks like I've got some catching up to do. Check it out below.
