There's always a lot of talk when Editors return with new music. Most of it seems to centre around if their new sound is ever going back to its roots or if it'll continue to infuse new and mysterious synthesised tones. Old fans alike will be pleased to learn then, it looks like they haven't forgotten their ways with a gorgeously uprising new single, filled with the traits that made me fall in love with the band all those many years ago. Looking set to be an album featuring a vast formation of different components following on from the synth-heavy No Harm shared in April, Marching Orders brings back the rock element with plenty of guitars and enrapturing percussion set aback from Tom Smiths echoing vocal croon.



Set to continue their long serving partnership with Oxfam, Editors will be gifting 300 hand stamped 12” test pressings of Marching Orders in select stores throughout the UK, Germany and Belgium. Tom Smith goes on to explain; "We've been supporters of Oxfam's amazing, vital work for many years, from supporting their Oxfam unwrapped campaign back in Xmas 2007, performing at Oxjam gigs and also hosting Oxfam campaigners on our tours to help raise funds and spread the word about the charity with our fans."
