FIDLAR - 40oz. On Repeat
Music videos. They're a time old necessity nowadays to newly released singles. It's just a shame so many of them suck - they really may as well have saved their budget and just filmed paint dry. It's quite ironic then that FIDLAR's parody effort here is basically just re-enacting your favourite 90's videos, yet still comes across as quite possible one my favourite and innovative videos ever. From Eminem to Oasis, Britney to Green Day, watch on below as they cover all the greats of your childhood (at least for all my fellow 90's babies out there) when music videos actually mattered on the tele. "In the late 90s and early 2000s, music videos were such a huge deal,” explaims Zac Carper. “We decided that instead of making one overly slick music video, we would nod to 15 of our favourite music videos that we grew up with. Everyone in the band threw in their ideas”. Take a watch for yourselves below.
FIDLAR will release their second full length album, 'Too', on September 4th through Wichita Recordings, with the album available for pre-order today at iTunes and www.fidlarmusic.com
