Whilst it took me a while to be fully won over by Youth Lagoon's recent surprise 7" vinyl 'The Knower', his latest single Highway Patrol Stun Gun tells a whole different story. In comparative views, with its rousing brass sections and miss mash of experimental electronic bleeps the latter gave a clear insight in his more liberal-edged ideas. Here things are a lot more straight forward though. It's most definitely the sentimental Youth Lagoon we've grown to love, back with a refined sound that's filled with optimism and gratifying hope. Probably a good thing as the track centres around the rise in recent police brutality. Take a listen to the piano rolling number for yourselves below with the accompanying Kendy Ty directed clip.
