Kyla La Grange - Skin

It's quite a sadistic thing when you think about it, pop music. Getting joy out of anothers misery and heartbreak seems to be the norm and yet no one bats an eyelid. It's no wonder though when the results are this gorgeous. Sombre in approach yet devastatingly powerful, Kyla La Grange's latest effort is all kinds of this indulgent doozy pop. Polished synths, plummeting basslines and her icy vocals all adding to its intensive self-destructive demeanour. "It's that trapped feeling you get when your brain is stuck on a visual loop and all you can see is the thing that you know you shouldn't be thinking about because it does you no good, but the more you tell yourself not to think about it, the more you do" Explains Kayla. "I wanted to it to feel very close and intimate and sexy and claustrophobic, like you're resisting what you see but at the same time a little twisted part of you is really enjoying it". Take a listen for yourselves below.
