Finding a female vocalist that can not only hit the sweet spot I seek in new music but retain that level of excitement throughout their debut offering is sadly a rare occasion nowadays. Step up to the plate Carmody with her elegant and smooth offering, Skin. A change in the norm, the London singer/songwriter's romanticised lyrics, intertwining with its silk-woven guitars and neat percussion showcase exactly how a debut should be executed. "It’s both beautiful and devastating how people you've loved can still feel a part of you long after they've gone" explains Carmody on the track's conception.
