Kaiser Chiefs and Simply Red to headline On The Pitch festival in Cardiff

In association with SSE Swalec, Cardiff's summer looks set with a brand new music festival due to take place this July. Spread over two nights the Welsh capital will be treated to a line up of exceeding talent as Kaiser Chiefs take to headline the Saturday with very special guest Dizzee Rascal, the Sunday headed up with Simply Red alongside Ben Montague and Nathan Ball.

"We always love playing outdoors and we’ve played fields, parks, farms, rooftops, beaches and back gardens, but an international cricket pitch is a first for us" explains Ricky Wilson. "We always enjoy playing in Wales, we’re looking forward to this show".

Add to the list Everything Everything, a band who've graced these pages countless times, Nature and local lads Tibet and the musical array truly comes alive. On The Pitch Festival will take place between 16-17th July at the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club in Cardiff. Venue Chief Executive Hugh Morris goes on to say “Our vision was to secure a bill of top talent and to provide a festival feel for a summer Saturday crowd - we're delighted to have secured such prestigious acts to play at The SSE SWALEC and we look forward to welcoming them to Wales."

On the Pitch Saturday and Sunday are separately ticketed events priced at £39.50 plus booking fee each. Gates will open at 2pm.
