Bernache - Your Name

Taking us on defect-less journey in to her pristine world, Canada's Bernache does what few can achieve as she closes in on an impossible perfection. What opens with a haunting yet equally intriguing expanse of percussion and lo-fi synth chords soon has us revelling in its arpeggiated melodies and icy vocals. Said to be about "a relationship that takes so much space, that it slows everything else around", Your Name truly delivers as you feel time momentarily freeze. This is the first solo work to come from Emmanuelle Proulx and hopefully the first of many more. Check out its captivating video below that perfectly captures the track's impassive nature.
