Looking to set out and create a track that held both a significant spiritual awareness yet retained its danceable energy to the same degree was Shallou's aim when writing his latest work, something he's most certainly attained here. Through waves of fluttering electronics and softly played guitar sections comes a gorgeous offering in the form of his new single Fictions, a track that takes you to a place of clarity and relaxation. "After many late night listens to Sufjan and Justin Vernon records, I felt inspired to create a sort of "electronic spiritual" - a track that you can still dance too, but also calls out to the feeling of a higher being" explains Shallou. "In many ways I feel that my spirituality comes from my love of this planet, but with all of the terrible things happening to our environment it seems that humanity and nature could not be further apart."
