Vancouver Sleep Clinic - Ayahuasca
Having first graced the blog here in 2013 with his single Vapour, a track that's now amassed over 2 millions Soudcloud streams, Vancouver Sleep Clinic has become a name renown for quality and immense power. Even when his music is often whispered and dressed in subtle electronics Tim Bettinson seems to find a way to bring his emotive compositions to dazzling life. Here's no different as he returns with Ayahuasca, a stunning 8 minute piece showcasing his vast and expansive talents, the track spanning through synthesised and analogue elements.
"Ayahuasca is a world that I lived and breathed in over a weekend in my little studio apartment in LA" explains Bettinson. "I bought a bunch of food, shut the blinds, lined the walls with LEDs & locked myself into a journey for three days. It's the song I've always wanted to make but never been brave enough to. Something that defied any normal expectation & allowed me to express every inch of what i was feeling at the time. A place where you can shut your eyes for 8 minutes and escape reality". Free from a major label deal he felt trapped by, 2018 looks set to hold no creative limitations with his boundaries endless. I can't wait to hear what's in store.
