bdrmm - kare

Hull based five-piece bdrmm have today unveiled their kaleidoscopic brand new single, Kare. “Kare was written inevitably after a night out,” explains vocalist Ryan Smith, “I had gotten the wrong impression from somebody and it turned out my feelings were being taken advantage of just so they didn’t have to stay in on a Saturday night”. A shitty place to be in yet one that's influenced one of my favourite track's of the year so far. From its unassuming guitar strummed intro, right through to the climatic layering of crashing percussion and serrated melodies, the band's latest effort delivers far more than its worth. Working with producer Alex Greaves (Seeing Hands, PLAZA) their sound retains an overcast haze yet prides itself on a joyous underlying that's itching to get out and that's evidently on display throughout here.
