Chad Valley - Impartial
Chad Valley was probably one of the first artist's I ever blogged about here. Searching back through the archives it brings up a post from almost 8 years ago in 2010 with his single Up and Down; a track that's long established his uniquely identifiable blend of synth-pop, launching his career across the blogosphere. The Oxfordshire based producer, singer and all around wunderkind now returns with news of his third studio album 'Imaginary Music', set for release on May 25th through his long-serving partnership with Cascine.
What was a solitary process in comparison to his previous LP that featured a host of guests, 'Imaginary Music' was recorded from scratch following a sad turn of events whilst on tour in the US where Hugo's laptop was stolen that featured all the original demos and recordings. On returning home he began work again, completely afresh. Impartial is its first cut and displays a sound and tone we've come to love, backed with glistening synths and intricate sampled vocal layers ft. Katherine Robertson's vaporous touch. Take a listen for yourselves above.
