Last month saw London-based outfit French Nancy share their debut EP with the release of their first two tracks, Telephone and Fading Out. Both contrasting efforts, the first quickly springs to life with skittering percussion and dizzying synth-lines whereas the latter sees the band adopt a darker approach to their songwriting with layers of atmospheric haze and whirling guitars. It's clear to see where their cited influences arise from with nods to The Cure, John Maus and Jamie XX. Sink your teeth in to both cuts above and below. Already an exciting project it'll be interesting to see where they take it next.
