Returning with their first new music in two years, Torquay based five-piece Tourists have last week unveiled their dreamy new single Align. Through its swirling hazy atmospherics and energising guitars, the band take forth a sound that's equally as nostalgic as it is unlike anything we've heard before as they introduce a whole new dynamic to their working practices. Tom Wilkinson of the band explains:“[Align] follows the idea of somebody mastering their own inner spirit to command others. We feel this track really reflects our main musical influences - the deep-rooted post-punk element coupled with 80s synth/dark-pop. As we played it more it took on a life of its own, getting heavier with more dynamics, and a dramatic, driving ending.” Take a listen for yourselves below.
