Josef Salvat - Modern Anxiety (official video)

Scientists of Sound: Josef Salvat - modern anxiety (official video)

Making his very welcomed return, the Australian-born wunderkind Josef Salvat has today unveiled his brand new single, Modern Anxiety. Having remained relatively quiet since his debut 2016 album 'Night Swim', he reappears at a critical time in our lives, addressing the overwhelming feelings of modern day anxiety as we try our best to keep up with a social media overload. As infectious as you'd expect, the track's buoyant rhythms and ear-worm melodies give a fine indication of what we can prepare ourselves for from his upcoming campaign. Talking about the track, Josef says “Life had been getting scarier the more years that flew by. Decisions, doubts etc. I turned 28 and felt this kind of desperation to experience everything youth had to offer before it ran out (naive). I launched myself into this project a little too intensely. I felt like I’d become that friend, that guy on the date, that person in the background of other people’s lives who was just always ‘a bit too much’. This lead to a whole bunch of mental horrors in my alone moments. Thankfully It was phase and it inspired ‘alone’”. Take a listen for yourselves below with the track's official video directed by Josef himself - ironically best viewed on your phone.
