Making their very welcomed return, Manchester's Everything Everything have today premiered their brand new single In Birdsong. Backed with its accompanying video the track follows on from 2017's Mercury Prize-nominated album 'A Fever Dream', and comes as the band's first release on their own Infinity Industries imprint, in partnership with AWAL. The track in itself is a slow burner that steadily unravels as its arpeggiated synth lines give rise to Jonathan Higgs' falsetto cries. Higgs explained, “‘In Birdsong’ tries to imagine what it would have been like to have been the first self-aware human. The theory claims that the eventual melding of these two minds into the two-sided human brain we have now was the dawn of mankind’s consciousness.” Take a listen for yourselves below.
