Following the release of their second album, 2022’s Welsh Music Prize-winning Bato Mato, Adwaith found themselves looking to seek inspiration by visiting old ground in the form of their more simplistic and raw recording style. Queue Addo, which offers the first introduction to their forthcoming third album with infectious hooks, jangly guitars and darkened pop lyrics. Speaking about the single the band go on to say, “It’s about caring deeply for someone self destructive who doesn’t care about themselves, and how when you’re involved in these relationships, it distorts your view of the world and the people around you.” Take a listen for yourselves below which features Manic Street Preachers’ James Dean Bradfield on guitar.
