Following last months album announcement, Chartreuse have returned today with the record's latest cut, in the form of new single Whippet. With Hattie Wilson taking lead vocals the track sweeps through their articulated melodies and darkened pop ambiance in dreamlike fashion. Written after a conversation with a friend at the pub she explains further, "She was asking me what my plans were, and I said I didn't know. A lot of our friends have serious careers, and we're in a band. I felt bitter about having to have the conversation, so the line 'left like a whippet' is me wanting to leave and stop talking about it". The track is accompanied by an AI visual, created by the band themselves with Kaiber AI. Take a watch for yourselves below.
The band's debut album Morning Ritual, due for release 10th November via Communion Music.
