Birmingham's Overpass returned last week with their brand new single Beautiful, taken from the band's forthcoming debut EP 'From The Night', out February 16th 2024. Following on from September's Alright, the track sees the band's confidence grow in songwriting and deliverance as they charge up guitars and power through vocals in anthemic fashion. Commenting on the new single, which was produced by Rich Turvey, vocalist Max Newy says: “‘Beautiful’ is a coming of age song about getting older, coming into early adulthood and coping with everyday life and the anxieties that come with it. For me, it’s about all the changes that come with growing up, finding yourself and looking for something more and being satisfied. It also touches on leaving things behind and looking towards the future. It carries a lot of optimism, and we hope that people can relate to it on an emotional level.” Take a listen for yourselves below.
