L'objectif - Puppy (Official Video)

Returning with their first new music of the year, Leed's based collective L'objectif have unveiled their buoyant new single Puppy. Taken from their forthcoming EP The Left Side - set for release 22nd March via Chess Club Records - the track is filled with catchy hooks and dazzling melodies as they step in to a new era of progression. The track comes accompanied with an official video courtesy of long-time collaborator Ethan Porter. Speaking about the video, L’objectif say: “With a song name like ‘Puppy’ it seemed obvious that we would have to get dogs involved for the video. The original idea was to have the band as some kind of animal liberation front. Ethan was really into this idea, especially when we mentioned we wanted puppies in the video as you can imagine. That morning filming with those tiny dogs was the most content we have ever felt.” Expanding on ‘Puppy’, frontman and producer Saul Kane says: “This song was the last song written on the EP and was finished relatively quickly. I suppose it’s kind of a pop song but despite the title, it’s actually pretty dark lyrically. It’s a song about desperation just sugarcoated in an indie dance tune, which is usually what you can expect with us lot. Saying that, it sounds like nothing we’ve done before at all…” Take a watch/listen for yourselves below.
