Following on from last month's single Dirt, Leeds based The Howl & The Hum, fronted by songwriter Sam Griffiths has returned with his forthcoming album's latest teaser, Echo. Fronted by a sweeping acoustic melody, the track's subtle layering quickly builds in to a blistering pop effort, kept in check by Sam's honest and brilliant storytelling. Speaking about the single he goes on to say, "This is a love song to old friends, about watching good people do bad things, and wondering if any of it matters at all. “I’m not afraid to die, I’m afraid of the terms and conditions”: when we’re judged for all we’ve done, what if we’ve missed something?". Take a listen for yourselves below. The new album ‘Same Mistake Twice’ is set for release September 6th 2024.
