Last week saw emerging new artist colby! unveil her debut EP with the explosive lead single and title track Dead Giveaway. Filled with towering pop choruses and infections synth melodies the track is the perfect introduction to her progressive sound as its shimmering energy engages from the off-set. "I'm so excited—and honestly, a bit nervous—to finally share this EP,” said the 19-year-old Texas native. “My brother, RJ, and I started making music just for ourselves in a makeshift studio at home, never really thinking anyone else would hear these songs. Music has always been something we do just for the love of it.” Sharing more info about the process she goes on to say, "I wrote ‘Dead Giveaway’ about those moments in a relationship, whether romantic or platonic, when you realize there’s no real depth there, you’re putting in the effort to keep things going, but it’s clear the other person isn’t meeting you halfway, and they’re unlikely to change.
