Marking 10 years since the release of their hit single ‘Atlantis’, Yorkshire duo Seafret today make their wondrous return with the brand new single River of Tears. Stepping in to pop territory with soaring choruses and towering sensibilities, Jack Sedman and Harry Draper continue to conjure up infectious, relatable music that aches with heartfelt sentiment. “’River of Tears’ explores the heartbreak of being in a relationship you always knew was doomed, yet still struggling to accept its inevitable end. We originally wrote this on piano but found the darker production worked so well we had no choice but to go for it. This song was a turning point for the album and even a little for us as writers. It isn’t a style of song we’ve done in the past but it feels like we’ve opened a door to somewhere new and exciting.” – Seafret. Take a listen for yourselves below.
